New Delhi, Oct 28 (IANS) Registrations on My Youth India (MY Bharat), the youth participation initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, have crossed 2 crore, an official said on Tuesday.

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya said, “Crossing 2 crore registrations is a proud moment for the country. It reflects the enthusiasm, energy and determination of India’s youth to participate in nation building.”

He said, “My India has become the heartbeat of young India, where enthusiasm finds opportunity and service finds purpose.”

The achievement of two crore registrations reflects the growing enthusiasm and participation of India’s youth in the country’s collective journey towards a Developed India @2047, an official statement said.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on National Unity Day on October 31, 2023, My Bharat has rapidly grown into one of India’s largest youth-centric digital ecosystem.

Designed as a technology-driven, one-stop solution for youth aged 15-29, the platform connects young citizens of both rural and urban India, empowering them to learn, serve and lead through diverse opportunities in nation-building.

My Bharat has also become the hub of national youth programs like Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Vikas Bharat Youth Connect, Vikas Bharat Padayatra and Drug Free Youth for Vikas Bharat, which have seen enthusiastic participation of millions of young Indians, the statement said.

With the creation of over 14.5 lakh volunteer opportunities, My India connects a vast network of over 16,000 youth club members and over 60,000 institutional partners, including government departments, educational institutions and NGOs.

The statement said collaboration with corporate partners has helped create impactful programs and bootcamps that channel youth energy into civic and community action.

Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse said, “My India is helping our youth transform aspirations into action. Each new registration represents a young Indian moving forward to build a strong, confident and self-reliant nation.”

Since its inception, My India has emerged as a vibrant ecosystem of youth participation. Initiatives such as Volunteer for India and the Experiential Learning Program (ELP) have enabled youth to make meaningful contributions to their communities while building leadership and employability skills.

The platform’s features, including public profiles and CV builder, empower young people to showcase achievements, connect with peers and explore new growth opportunities. The recently introduced Quiz and Essay module has further enhanced engagement by enabling knowledge-based and creative activities organized by partner organisations.
