The video resurfaced following Scales’ death on Monday, October 27.

Scales told the BBC that West was “someone I respect and admire greatly.” The couple was married for 61 years.

Scales was best known for his role in the BBC Two sitcom Faulty TowersPortraying Sybil, the wife of deeply troubled hotelier Basil Fawlty (John Cleese) as he tries to keep his hotel and marriage afloat.

He was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2013, a common type of dementia caused by reduced blood flow to the brain.

His family announced his death on Tuesday at the age of 93 He died peacefully at his London home.
