Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI) Vichitra Veer said only the driver was present at the time of the fire. Airport fire officials, assisted by police and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, quickly brought the fire under control.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said in a statement that its fire fighting team responded immediately and extinguished the fire within minutes. It said airport operations were not affected and passenger and staff safety remained the top priority.

AISATS, a joint venture between Air India and Singapore-based SATS Group, said the incident involved one of its coaches used for passenger transportation at the airport. The company confirmed that the bus was empty and said it was cooperating with authorities to determine the cause of the fire.
The area where the fire broke out was briefly closed for a safety check. Police said the vehicle was damaged, but no other property was affected. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
