A source told Sun Work has been underway “for weeks” on the property in Windsor, which has been suggested as Prince Andrew’s next home.

Harry and Meghan, who lived in the cottage between April 2019 and March 2020, reportedly spent £2.4 million on renovations.

“People are working day and night inside Frogmore Cottage,” the source said. The lights were on after dark over the weekend.

“And workmen have been coming and going for several weeks. It shouldn’t need too much work as Harry and Meghan spent £2.4million on renovations six years ago and no one has been there since, apart from Princess Eugenie for a few months during lockdown.”

It comes after public outrage over revelations he has been living rent-free in Royal Lodge for decades.

Prince Andrew hosted Epstein at the Royal Lodge ‘days before his arrest’

New reports say Prince Andrew hosted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein at the Royal Lodge along with Ghislaine Maxwell and Harvey Weinstein while the financier was wanted for sexual assault of a minor.

The trio attended a party at the Royal Lodge as part of Andrew’s daughter Beatrice’s 18th birthday celebrations in 2006, the BBC reported.

At the time, Epstein was wanted in the US on suspicion of sexual assault. The financier was arrested in Florida eight days after the incident.

Speaking to BBC Newsnight in 2019, Andrew said he “had no idea” there was an arrest warrant out for Epstein’s head at the time of the party.

Prince Andrew could face Commons inquiry over ownership and peppercorn-rented mansion

MPs can debate Prince Andrew’s conduct, his 30-room mansion and the possibility of him being stripped of his dukedom.

The government has so far refused to allocate time in the House of Commons for MPs to discuss Andrew’s situation because the royal family wants Parliament to focus on “important issues”.

But this issue may be raised some day when ministers do not have control over the parliamentary timetable.
