Kolkata, Oct 26 (IANS) The BJP on Sunday claimed that the opposition parties, which are constantly presenting themselves as protectors of the Indian Constitution, are threatening to change it every day.
Referring to a viral video where RJD Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Qari Soheb announced that if Tejashwi Yadav becomes the Chief Minister of Bihar, he will change the Constitution and amend the Waqf law, BJP’s Information Technology Cell chief Amit Malviya on Sunday made a social media post saying that the real intention of those threatening to change the Constitution is to snatch away the rights of people coming from backward classes.
“Those who talk day and night about saving the Constitution are the same ones plotting to change it – so that they can seize the land and rights of Dalits, backward classes and tribals,” Malviya said in his social media post.
Malviya has also attached in his post a viral video of Qari Soheb talking about changing the Constitution.
Also, Malviya has questioned whether Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who are the chief ministerial candidates of the anti-NDA grand alliance in Bihar, will take responsibility for such threats to change the Constitution.
“Now the question is for Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav – who call themselves self-proclaimed guardians of the Constitution – will they allow people like Qari Sohaib to encroach on the land and reservation of poor and deprived Hindus?” -Questioned Malaviya.
In the viral video, Qari Sohaib was also heard saying at an election rally that those who supported the newly announced Waqf Amendment Act need proper treatment.
He said, “It is necessary to defeat the NDA allies to save Bihar as well as the country. Once Tejashwi Yadav becomes the Chief Minister of Bihar, all such bills will be rejected. The Grand Alliance will be a government of unity, brotherhood and humanity.”
