Actress Lakshmi Menon has moved the Kerala High Court seeking quashing of the criminal case of alleged kidnapping and assault of an IT employee in Kochi, saying the matter was resolved between them.
As per Live Law report, the High Court had earlier reportedly granted anticipatory bail to the actress and other accused persons even though the victim had said that her complaint was filed on the basis of a misunderstanding.
However, Justice CS Dias on Thursday (October 23) said that apart from the complainant, other people were also injured in the case.
In an FIR filed on August 25, 2025, Aliyarsha Saleem said the actor and three others, including Midhun, Anish and Sonamol, had threatened her with death after a fight at the Velocity Pub in Kochi the previous day.
The technical expert further said that his car was stopped by the accused near Ernakulam North Bridge at around 11:45 pm. Salim said he was beaten and abandoned near the Aluva-Paravur junction.
