Patna, Oct 22 (IANS) As the state gears up for massive voting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are set to lead the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s campaign with four mega rallies across Bihar on October 24.
According to party sources, PM Modi will start his election campaign from Karpoori Thakur’s land and address huge public rallies in Samastipur. Later he will address another rally in Begusarai.
During his address, he is expected to urge voters to support the NDA candidates and send a strong message to the opposition camp.
PM Modi’s upcoming visit is his first election appearance in Bihar after the announcement of elections.
He is scheduled to visit the state twice in October – first on October 24 and then on October 30, when he will address public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also hold two big election rallies on October 24 – one in Siwan and the other in Buxar.
This will be Shah’s second visit to Bihar in a week, after his first three-day visit from October 16 to 18, during which he addressed a rally in Taraiya (Chhapra).
The BJP state leadership has completed all preparations for the high-profile visits of the two leaders, with local units being activated to ensure massive public attendance.
The rallies of PM Modi and Amit Shah are expected to raise the political temperature in the state and provide energy to the NDA campaign.
Meanwhile, the Grand Alliance (Grand Alliance) is also preparing for an aggressive campaign.
A joint press conference of its top leaders is scheduled to be held in Patna on October 23, after which the alliance leaders will set out for a coordinated election campaign across the state.
With both the NDA and the Grand Alliance set to step up their campaigns, October 24 is shaping up to be an important day in Bihar’s political calendar, marking the formal start of the top-level campaign battle ahead of the assembly elections.
