a 12 year old child texas According to official records, the boy came home from school and found that his mother and her partner had moved house, following which authorities charged the adults.
Police responded to a report of an abandoned baby at an apartment complex in Copperas Cove last Friday, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by news outlets KWTX And KWKT,
The boy told police that while he was at school his mother, Erica Renee Sanders, and her partner, Keven Dwayne Adams, moved out of the house and left the place vacant.
When police called Adams, she said that Sanders had moved into her home, where her son was not welcome, but she insisted that she did not abandon the boy.

A neighbor told police that the couple had previously thrown Sanders’ son out, and police said that when they spoke to Adams, he “complained in detail” about the boy.
Adams and Sanders told police that Sander’s brother was supposed to pick up her son after school, but authorities say Sanders failed to time that her brother was supposed to be home to pick him up.
When police contacted the boy’s uncle, he said he had no knowledge about the plan.
More than five hours passed from the time the boy arrived home until he, the couple and authorities made contact, the affidavit said.

Child Protective Services, contacted by police about the case, told officers that the couple refused to tell them where they were living.
Adams also told police that if they had an arrest warrant for Sanders he would not let the boy inside his home.
The couple were arrested and charged with abandoning a child without intent to return and endangering the child. According to the affidavit, the boy is living with his uncle.
It’s not clear if Adams or Sanders have an attorney.
