Mother of an autistic person who volunteered Waitrose Ever since he was removed from his post, the stacking shelves have started talking.

However, when asked if he could be paid for “just a few hours”, Tom was let go from his position. “He deserved kindness, respect and a chance to do something for his hard work,” she said.
A Waitrose & Partners spokesperson said: “We are saddened to hear Tom’s story and although we cannot comment on individual cases, we are investigating as a priority.”
