Rock legends Bon Jovi are set to make a major comeback in the UK and Ireland in summer 2026, ending a nearly six-year absence.

American band famous for hit songs like Livin ‘On A Prayer, It’s my lifeAnd you give love a bad nameE, has scheduled dates in London, Dublin and Edinburgh.

The comeback follows a significant recovery period for lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, 63.

The frontman underwent vocal cord surgery after his muscles weakened and spent the last few years recovering.

Jon Bon Jovi said: “There’s so much joy in this announcement – glad we can share these nights with our amazing fans and glad the band can be together.

“I’m so lucky that I get to light up the audience every night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience – I get to stand up at our concerts.

“I’ve spoken at length on my gratitude but I’ll say it again, I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and given me the time I needed to heal and get ready to tour. I’m ready and excited!”

The group had teased the announcement a day earlier with a photo of the band and the caption “Tomorrow we have something special for you. Any guesses?”, prompting fans anticipating the tour to flood the comments section.

Speaking about the new album, Jon Bon Jovi said: “This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it’s an album born out of necessity.

“My vocal cord surgery and subsequent rehabilitation was a well-documented journey that lasted through the release of Forever in June 2024.

“I was singing well enough in the studio to record, but the demands of singing and the rigors of touring were still out of my reach. Without the ability to tour or promote the album we were all so proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need. All great singers, artists, and great people too.

“The result is an album with a new perspective and new spirit – a collaboration album that proves we can all survive in this world with a little help from our friends.

“I feel immense joy and gratitude releasing this album and I think it shows in the music. I can definitely say that there is always something bigger than me, and that is us.”

The Grammy Award-winning band was formed in 1983 and is composed of frontman Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarists John Shanks and Phil X (Theophilos Xenidis), percussionist Everett Bradley, and bassist Hugh McDonald.

The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 and appeared in the four-part documentary Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story in 2024, which documented the singer’s surgery.

General ticket sales will take place on Friday 31 October.
