Software engineer Ian Ross becomes the eighth contestant to depart The Great British Bake Off tent after failing to impress the judges during a challenging quarter-final.

Medical student Jasmine Michelle Starr Baker was crowned presenter on Tuesday’s episode noel fielding News of Ian’s elimination was announced.
Ian said, “I didn’t think I’d get this far – I never thought I’d get this far after the first few weeks. So getting to the quarter-finals is something I never thought I could do.”
“We have the best group of bakers. We’ve made really good friends, and we’re always laughing. It’s been awesome.”

Ian said that his bakes had started to “stagnant” before going on the show.
“It’s happening bake Just reignited my passion and showed me that this is what I love to do in this life.
“There has rarely been anyone in my life so passionate to cook Living among so many people who absolutely love baking, as I do, is incredible.
Reflecting on his favorite moments from the Channel 4 show, Ian said it was Their Bingeette 2.0 Showstopper which referenced the viral series “Scandal” from a decade earlier, when contestant Ian Waters’ Baked Alaska ended up in the bin after baker Diana Beard took her ice cream out of the freezer without telling her. Since then it has been called “Binget”.
Speaking about Redemption Cake, he said: “I think my best moment was presenting Bingate 2.0 to Paul – Bingate was my favorite. bake moment, and I always said if another Ian from Belfast came on the show I’d have to pay tribute to him. I almost didn’t do it, but I’m glad I did.
