Potentially multiple dog and cat food brands included in recall Salmonella Contamination.
Salmonella can harm pets who eat contaminated products, and can even pose health risks to humans who handle contaminated food. Food and Drug Administration said while issuing instant recall For products made by FoodDynamics and RawBistro Pet Fare.
Wisconsin-based FoodDynamics is voluntarily recalling specific lots of freeze-dried pet treats from the Raw Dog Barkery, Bellpepper Cats, Kanu Pets and What’s in the Bowl brands. recalled products Within Wisconsin, as well as New York and Florida.
Potentially contaminated packages distributed include:
- Raw Dog Barkery Whole Chicken Hearts – Lot No. 030527

- Bellepepper Cats Freeze Dried Chicken Heart Slices – “Use By” sticker with date 031627 on back
- Kanu Pets Freeze Dried Chicken Heart Raw Treats – Lot No. 031627


Bellepepper Cats also gave samples of the potentially contaminated freeze-dried treats to two pet owners, and has since been in contact with those customers.
The company has informed all affected customers, who can return the product to its place of purchase for a full refund.
Minnesota-based Raw Bistro Pet Fare is also recalling two of its frozen beef dog foods.
Three-pound bags of Raw Bistro Dog Fair Grass-Fed Beef Entrees and 18-pound cases of Raw Bistro Dog Fair Grass-Fed Beef Entrees are recalled. Lot number of both the products is 239.
The products were sold in sealed packaging from stores in California, Colorado, Illinois, and Minnesota between September 1 and September 17.
Neither company has reported any illnesses in pets or humans since the recalls were first announced on October 9 and 10.


According to the FDA, anyone who has contaminated pet food should throw it away in a secure container where no other animal or human can access it.
