Bhind (Madhya Pradesh), October 21 (IANS) In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district, a group of people kidnapped a Dalit youth, beat him up and forced him to drink urine. Police gave this information on Tuesday.

The victim claimed that three men kidnapped him and forced him to drink urine. Her ordeal began when the accused men took the victim from Bhind to Gwalior and humiliated her there.

The victim said that after reaching Gwalior, the accused forcibly made him drink alcohol and then made him drink their urine.

According to the police, the scared victim somehow managed to call his family members and after they reached there, he was taken to the government hospital. Subsequently, the local area police was informed about the horrific incident.

Soon after receiving information about the case, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjeev Pathak and Collector Korilal Meena met the victim at the hospital, where he has been admitted for treatment.

ASP Pathak later told media persons that a case has been registered and the accused persons have been booked for assault, illegal imprisonment and under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Pathak also said that two of the three accused have been arrested while the search for the third person is going on. The arrested persons have been identified as Sonu and Alok, residents of Bhind.

Responding to allegations that the accused made the victim drink her own urine, Pathak said, “The case is being investigated and further action will be taken as per the medical report.”

District Collector Karodilal Meena told media persons that he has spoken to the victim’s family. “We have assured the family that the accused persons will face strict action. The district hospital has been directed to submit the medical report soon,” he said.

The incident occurred almost a week after a similar incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Katni district where a Dalit man was allegedly beaten up. The police had arrested three people in connection with the atrocities on people belonging to the marginalized community.
