nottingham forest has appointed sean dyche as their new manager Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal,

Dyche arrives at the City Ground almost 10 months after his everton The departure, a role that was dismissed after three wins in nineteen, left the Toffees just one point above the relegation zone.

He replaces Postecoglu, who A disastrous 39-day reign in the forest Ended just 19 minutes after full time in last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat chelseawhich the club owner saw Evangelos Marinakis Leave your seat before the final whistle.

Postecoglou, who endured the shortest managerial tenure Premier League History, failing to win any of its eight games. The failure seen under the Australian’s leadership has left Forest in the bottom three of the Premier League, and Dyche has been tasked with turning their fortunes around.

Forest announced the appointment on social media and confirmed that Ian Voan and Steve Stone have also joined the coaching staff.

Their statement read: “Nottingham Forest are pleased to confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as the club’s new head coach, following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar and Global Technical Director, George Sirianos. The former Forest youth player has joined the club on a contract running until the summer of 2027 and will take charge of his first match on Thursday night as the The Reds will face FC Porto in the Europa League.

A respected and experienced Premier League manager, Dyche brings the right mix of character, tactical acumen and proven achievement to guide the club through its next chapter.

The position of Forest manager has proven perilous in recent months, with Nuno Espirito Santo sacked despite turning the club from a relegation candidate to a candidate for European qualification.

The Portuguese boss was sacked in early September after relations with Marinakis deteriorated.

And while Postecoglou delivered sardonic messages during his time at the helm of Forest, reiterating in last Friday’s press conference that “the story always ends the same way… me with a trophy”, he will not get the chance to prove himself in his famous second season as Forest were left looking for their third manager of the season in as many months.

Dyche has been tipped as the man to guide the club out of this crisis, with the highlights of the Englishman’s career so far coming during his decade-long stint at Burnley, after which he landed his first job at Watford.

The 50-year-old has led the Clarets back to the Premier League on two occasions; First in 2014, before suffering immediate relegation to the Championship the following season, and again in 2016, keeping them in the top flight for the next six years.

His first test will come in the Europa League – this season marks the first time Forest have played continental football in 30 years – as his new team travel to Porto still looking for their first win.
