HSBC has hired the former natwest executive david Lindbergh has been appointed as the new boss of the UK business.
Mr Lindbergh, who was chief executive of NatWest’s retail banking until earlier this year, will take up the post on December 8.
He replaces Ian Stuart, who moves to a new position as group customer and culture director.
Mr Lindbergh’s appointment is the latest leadership change under Chief Executive Georges Elhedary, who has led sweeping changes since taking the top job last year.
Mr Lindberg joins HSBC UK after more than 27 years in financial services, including the last five years at NatWest.
