Stacey Hatfield’s husband, Nathan Warnke, shared the news on His Natural Spoonfuls on Sunday instagram pageRevealing that she died soon after giving birth to her first son. The couple was just two months away from their first wedding anniversary.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the unexpected passing of my beautiful wife, soulmate and best friend, Stacey Warnke (Hatfield),” the lengthy Instagram caption began.
They added, “Stace passed away on September 29, 2025, after successfully giving birth to our first son, Axel, at home.” “Unfortunately, shortly afterward, an unexpected and extremely rare complication occurred, and he died after being transferred to the hospital. He added, “As her husband, I couldn’t ask for a better partner.” “She was the most beautiful, loving, caring, hard-working, disciplined, intelligent and trustworthy person I have ever known.”
He also touched on his wife’s social media career, noting that she launched her own “natural lifestyle” wellness brand in 2019 before developing her own social media content creation company, Waffle.
However, Warnke said that Hatfield’s “biggest dream” was to become a mother.
“She did it on her own terms, just like she always dreamed of doing. She loved being pregnant and told our son she loved him every day for the last 9 months. She held Axel when he was born, nurtured him, saw he was a boy and loved him. She loved him so much and still loves him,” her husband wrote in the Instagram post.
In addition to social media posts, Warnke has also launched A GoFundMe page To cover the cost of your wife’s funeral and memorial, baby supplies and possible child care, household bills and time off from work.
The page’s description explains that Warnke is a surveyor who often works night shifts laying new roads and highways, meaning it would be difficult to go back to work despite being a single father.
The description reads, “Every dollar raised will give Nathan the time and space he needs to begin the long road of healing and will ensure that Axl is surrounded by the love and support he needs and that Stacey would have wanted.”
As of Monday afternoon, the GoFundMe page has raised a total of AU$33,871 of its $50,000 goal.
