A pair of “hamburglers” have been arrested for stealing more than 300 pounds of sausage and hamburger meat. ohio Police say.
The Union City Police Department recently announced the capture of suspected meat thieves Juan Anguiano and Justin Flint, comparing them to the fictional McDonald’s character, Hamburglar, who tries and fails to steal a fast food hamburger.
“The Union City Police Department has successfully caught not one, but two local Hamburglars after a daring (and extremely misguided) freezer break-in at the Union City Help Center,” police said in a Facebook post. Post From Tuesday.
Officers had responded to reports of someone breaking into an aid station’s freezer and stealing a “significant” amount of meat.


Union City police said 315 pounds of sausage and hamburger meat, as well as a 36-count box of hot dogs, 24 packs of bacon, 24 loaves and 16 pies were stolen.
Authorities later identified Anguiano and Flint as suspects.
“After being interrogated by investigators, both of them confessed to the crime,” police said.
Union City Police said Independent Anguiano and Flint are both charged with burglary and theft.
The Aid Center is a non-profit organization started in 1986 by a church that had one food pantry and another that had a clothing closet.
When the news of the arrest of both came, the help center wrote On Facebook, “Praise God.”

Police said Flint is also suspected of several recent car break-ins.
“Apparently, when he wasn’t eating beef, he was trying to pick up some ‘side dishes’ from the open cars outside,” Union City police said.
Authorities thanked those in the community who helped identify and locate the two.
“Your cooperation and support keeps our city safe and ensures that the only hamburgers stolen here are from fast-food drive-thrus – purchased legally,” the department said.
Anguiano and Flint were booked into the Randolph County Jail in Indiana. It is not yet clear whether either of them have legal representation.
Union City is located on the Ohio-Indiana border.
