The 60-year-old revealed that it never appealed to him, although slammed the current government as “mediocre” and compared it to previous iterations, which were “full of smart people who did all the work in the real world”.
“I don’t understand it anymore,” he said.
He said he believed politicians should be paid very highly, like in Singapore, to deliver the best results. “If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.”
