India’s top leadership on Monday joined the country’s Diwali celebrations, expressing warm wishes and highlighting the values ​​of compassion, self-reliance and unity in the form of diyas (lights). President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other national officials warmly greeted the nation as Diwali celebrations began.

“On good luck Diwali occasion“I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all Indians in India and around the world,” President Murmu wrote in a message posted on Twitter.

He described the festival as representing “the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and good over evil” and urged people to reflect on themselves, improve and take advantage of the opportunity to help the poor and destitute.

He further said, “May this Diwali bring happiness, peace and prosperity to all.” He urged everyone to celebrate in a responsible manner.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet stressed the festival’s potential for “harmony, happiness and prosperity” and urged a “spirit of positivity” to rule the country.

Apart from these sentiments, he also urged people to support domestic production and invited people to post about their purchases on social media.

He wrote: “Let us celebrate this festive season by celebrating the hard work, creativity and innovation of 140 crore Indians. Let us buy Indian products and say – proudly say it is Swadeshi!”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed his gratitude, calling Diwali a “sacred symbol of the eternal victory of truth, eternal righteousness and positivity”.

He said, “The festival of lights is not just a ritual of lighting lamps, but a ray of hope in the soul, a heartbeat of harmony in the society and a resolve for national revival.”

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his Diwali wishes on the occasion, writing, “On the occasion of Diwali, I wish the citizens of the state all the best, and also wish happiness, peace and prosperity for all.”

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Konidala Pawan Kalyan also expressed his warm wishes on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

“The festival of Diwali is celebrated with joy as a symbol of the day that removes darkness from the society and fills it with light with the glow of lamps and fireworks. On this festival, I sincerely wish that every person’s life is filled with joyful lights, and I wish everyone a very happy Diwali festival,” he wrote on X.
