tottenham head coach Thomas Frank believe that Fabio Paratici And Johan Lang would make an ideal pairing as co-sporting directors at the club.
It was announced on Wednesday that Paratici would return to Spurs after being used as a consultant over the past two years since resigning from the role in 2023.
Paratici first joined Tottenham in 2021, but left the post to deal with allegations of wrongful accounting at former club Juventus.
The Italian later served a 30-month ban and is now officially back at Spurs after being allowed to work as a consultant, with Lang, who was technical director, promoted to the same position.
Having two co-sports directors is not common in football, but Frank worked with that set-up during his nine seasons brentford And excited about Paratici’s return.

“Obviously Fabio works as a consultant for the club, so I’ve met him there a few times over the last few months. I’m looking forward to getting to know him more.
“Certainly when it becomes an everyday thing, you will get to know each other even better. I look forward to working together.”

“I’m used to working with two sporting directors, I did that for nine years at Brentford. First with Phil Giles and Rasmus Ankersen, then with Phil Giles and Lee Dykes.
“I really think these days you need two to cover everything, because it’s a huge task and I think these two complement each other well too.”
Paratici’s return to Tottenham was not the only significant event during the October international break, with an announcement that majority owner ENIC, which is run by the Lewis family trust, would inject £100 million of capital into the club.
It is the latest move by the Lewis family trust to show their commitment to driving Spurs success on the pitch and although not specifically asked about funds, Frank revealed that he will always have the final say on transfers – even following Paratici’s return.
“I will always have the final say,” smiled Frank.
“Yeah, you know that? But of course in the end, it’s teamwork.”
Spurs should be boosted by the availability of Radican Creation this weekend.
PSG loanee Kolo Muani made his debut against Villarreal on 16 September, but was then sidelined with a dead leg.
Frank said: “Kolo Muani has trained with the team for two weeks, so it’s good. He’s looking better and better and he will be a contender for the team.”
Dominic Solanke had minor ankle surgery earlier this month but according to Frank he needs “a bit of time”.
