Ayodhya, Oct 17 (IANS) Maintaining the spiritual grandeur and grandeur during the upcoming Deepotsav festival, the holy city of Ayodhya is all set to witness a bigger and grander aarti ceremony than last year.
Lord Ram’s city will be illuminated with lakhs of lamps, while the banks of the holy Saryu river are also expected to create history with the participation of over 2,000 people, including women, Sanskrit students and people from Dalit families.
Last year, 1,151 people performed mass aarti of Saryu river, which got a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. This year the event is being held on twice the scale, adding a new chapter to the spiritual power and collective devotion of Ayodhya.
This aarti is being organized with the cooperation of the district administration and municipal corporation.
The event will be held on October 19 at 5:00 pm. The ghat where the Aarti will be held has been divided into 11 zones. Arrangements have been made for 200 participants to perform aarti while standing in each zone from Nayaghat to Laxman Ghat.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a joint initiative of the administration and social organizations is working round the clock to create a wonderful confluence of “devotion, culture and social harmony”.
Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi said that every possible effort is being made to organize a grand and organized event. He said that this event will be in accordance with the traditions of Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, the lamp donation ceremony concluded at 3 pm on October 17. Rehearsal of Aarti is also being done to ensure alignment of participants, Vedic recitation and lighting of lamps.
When the sacred Saryu river of Ayodhya will glow with the glow of 2,100 lamps, the scene will symbolize the confluence of spirituality, unity and the power of the Mother Goddess, conveying the divinity of the city to the entire world.
