New Delhi, Oct 16 (IANS) Encouraged by the good response, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has extended the last date to participate in the Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz 2026 through the MY Bharat portal till October 31, an official said on Thursday.

More than 20 lakh youth have already participated in the quiz, the official said in a statement.

VBYLD Quiz is the first phase of Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026. It is being conducted online through MY Bharat portal. This quiz helps youth to test their knowledge about India and share their ideas for a developed India by 2047.

The quiz encourages enthusiastic participation from each State and Union Territory. It is designed to assess the knowledge of the participants about our nation while reflecting the shared vision of building a strong and developed India, the statement said.

All participants will receive digital participation certificates. The top 10,000 winners will receive My Bharat gifts and move to the next phase of VBYLD 2026. These selected youth will get a chance to share their views directly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The launch of My Bharat mobile application is a transformational step in youth empowerment. With technology-driven engagement, the app enables one-click participation in VBYLD Quiz 2026.

MY Bharat portal has been linked to Common Service Centers (CSCs) to reach even remote areas. Through more than five lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), youth in villages can register and take the quiz from their nearest CSC. This ensures that every young Indian, whether in cities or rural areas, can participate in this national movement, the official statement said.

The ministry said in a statement that the selected participants will represent their states and union territories at the VBYLD 2026, which will be held in New Delhi in January 2026.

The competition will take place in five exciting tracks. The Cultural and Innovation track will promote interest in science and technology through science fairs as well as celebrate the traditional art forms of India, encouraging youth to engage creatively with both heritage and innovation.

The official statement said that the Evolved India Challenge Track will provide space for youth participants to reflect on national challenges and offer actionable solutions on topics such as governance, education, energy, climate and digital inclusion.

The Design for India track aims to promote design thinking among youth by engaging them in a multi-tiered challenge to develop innovative, practical solutions to real-world development challenges.

The Hack for a Social Cause track will inspire young innovators to create scalable, technology-based solutions that address critical social issues, culminating in a national-level hackathon, the statement said.

It said the Diaspora Youth Partnership will bring together 100 youth from the global Indian diaspora, including participants from the Know India Program (KIP) and BIMSTEC member countries, to promote international youth exchanges and deepen engagement with India’s growth story.
