Kurnool, Oct 16 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed confidence that the 21st century will be India’s century and affirmed that India will become a developed nation by 2047.

“I believe that the 21st century is going to be the century of India. The 21st century is going to be the century of 140 crore Indians,” he said at the ‘Super GST Super Saving’ public meeting at Nannuru village in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district.

Prime Minister Modi, who laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation several development projects worth about Rs 13,430 crore, said these projects related to roads, power, railways, highways and trade will strengthen connectivity across the state, boost industrial growth and improve ease of living for citizens.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these projects will greatly benefit Kurnool and surrounding areas in the state.

He said that the central government is focusing on improving connectivity across the country.

“Multi-modal infrastructure is rapidly developing across the country and we are strongly focused on connectivity from villages to cities and from cities to ports,” the Prime Minister said.

He said that Andhra Pradesh is a land of pride and rich culture and is also a center of science and innovation.

He said that the state has immense potential and talented youth power.

He said that Andhra Pradesh needs the right vision and leadership and Chief Minister N. It has visionary leadership in the form of Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan with the full support of the Central Government.

PM Modi said, “Today Delhi and Amravati are working together, moving forward rapidly on the path of development.”

He said that Andhra Pradesh has witnessed unprecedented development during the last 16 months and claimed that the double engine government is moving forward on the path of progress.

“Looking at this rapid pace, as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had said, I can say that in 2047, when it will be 100 years of independence, India will be developed,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that the vision of ‘Swarnandhra’ is energizing the vision of ‘Developed India’ and stressed that the country is committed to the goal of a Developed India by 2047.

The Prime Minister remarked that Andhra Pradesh and its youth have always been at the forefront of technology, and under the NDA governments at the Center and in the State, this potential is being further harnessed and expanded.

He said, “Two days ago Google had announced a big investment in Andhra Pradesh. Google is going to build India’s first Artificial Intelligence Hub in Andhra Pradesh. Yesterday, when I was talking to the CEO of Google, he told me that we have invested in many countries around the world, but we are going to make the biggest investment in Andhra Pradesh.”

“This new AI hub includes powerful AI infrastructure, data center capacity, massive energy sources and extended fiber-optic networks. A new international sub-sea gateway will be built. It will include multiple international sub-sea cables, which will reach Visakhapatnam on the east coast of India. This project will establish Visakhapatnam as an AI and connectivity hub. It will not only serve India but the entire Will serve the world. I give special congratulations to the people here. I am very appreciative of Chandrababu Naidu for Andhra Pradesh and his vision for this.”

Emphasizing that energy security is essential for the development of any nation or state, the Prime Minister announced the launch of a transmission project worth about Rs 3,000 crore in the power sector, which will further enhance the energy potential of the country.

He remarked, a state which could have driven national progress was left to struggle for its own development.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that under the leadership of the NDA government, the direction of Andhra Pradesh is changing with rapid growth in the manufacturing sector.

Taking another step towards self-reliance in the defense sector, he announced the opening of an Advanced Night Vision Factory at Nimmaluru.
