Jamnagar, Oct 16 (IANS) On the auspicious occasion of Diwali this year, an artist from Jamnagar in Gujarat has created a rangoli that tells a powerful story of patriotism and sacrifice that touches the heart of every Indian.

His artwork is titled “Shaurya” (One Nation, One Flame). Women artists have been making rangoli on different themes at home for the last 15 years.

This particular rangoli is more than just a vibrant mix of colors; This is a heartfelt tribute to the 26 innocent people who were martyred in the brutal terrorist attack on 22nd April in Pahalgam.

The artist said that he has engraved the soil of India, the blood of sacrifice and the fire of patriotism in every particle of his rangoli.

On one side, the face of an Indian woman is depicted, symbolizing the grief of the families who have lost their loved ones in the attack. Their eyes reflect pain and helplessness and echo the collective grief of the country. On the other hand, the face of an Indian soldier emerges, his eyes full of anger, courage and a strong desire for justice. He represents the spirit of every Indian who stands strongly against terrorism.

In the centre, Indian fighter planes fly against the background of the thundering tricolour, symbolizing the essence of “Operation Sindoor” – justice, vengeance and unity.

Speaking to IANS, rangoli artist Riddhi Seth said, “This rangoli is not just a tribute, but a message that India will never bow down to terrorism. The bravery of our soldiers and the flame of our nation will always burn. About five feet long and three feet wide, this rangoli was made using simple Chirodi colors and took about ten days of tireless effort. It is now complete, and many people are coming to see it Are.”
