“I have always begged and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys are complicated. I feel discouraged by this situation and have always asked and almost begged them to be a part of my life. Sadly, they have always seen the lack of respect shown for me by their father.
She wrote, “They need to take responsibility. One son has met me only for 45 minutes in the last 5 years and the other only 4 times in the last 5 years. I am also proud. From now on I will tell them whenever I am available.”

The former couple was married from 2004 to 2007. Federline was given primary custody of her children in 2008 after Spears was placed under conservatorship following a public mental health scare.
In the years that followed, Spears worked to get more time with her children and in 2019, she was granted 30 percent custody rights, while Federline retained 70 percent.

In her statement, the singer accused Federline of profiting from her former relationship with her memoir.
“Trust me, the white lies in that book are going straight to the bank and I’m the only one who’s really hurt here,” she wrote.
“I will love them forever [her sons] And if you really knew me, you wouldn’t notice my mental health and drinking problems. I am actually a very intelligent woman who has been trying to live a chaste and private life for the last 5 years. I am speaking on this because I have been through a lot and any real woman would do the same.
