Marks & Spencer has issued an immediate recall of a popular chocolate snack over fears it may contain undeclared allergens.
Customers with nut allergies are urged not to consume its packets retailer’s Milk Chocolate Honeycomb due to the possible presence of peanuts, which are not listed on the label.
The affected products are 120g bags of snacks, lot number 5242 and barcode number 0917568/29143603, with a best by date of 12 May 2026.
Food Standards Agency (FSA) Said M&S is recalling the product and has been advised to contact relevant allergy support organisations, who will inform their members about the product recall.

“If you have purchased the above product and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it,” the FSA notice says.
“Instead return it to your nearest store for a full refund. For more information, please contact Marks & Spencer on 03330 148555.”
The company has also issued point-of-sale notices to its customers explaining why the product is being recalled and telling people what to do if they have purchased the product.
The retailer apologized to shoppers and said: “Customer safety is paramount for Marks & Spencer and we take all issues related to the production of our foods extremely seriously.
“Out of an abundance of caution, M&S is recalling Milk Chocolate Honeycomb due to the possible presence of undeclared peanuts in a small number of packs.”
On its website, the retailer says the snack features a “light and airy honeycomb center with a “velvety milk chocolate coating that melts on the tongue”.
