Earlier in the day, BJP had released its second list It includes 12 candidates including singer Maithili Thakur from Alinagar and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar. The first list released on Tuesday has the names of 71 candidates, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, contesting from Tarapur and Lakhisarai respectively, along with six ministers from the state.
As per the seat-sharing arrangement announced by BJP’s Bihar election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, both BJP and JDU will contest on 101 seats each, while Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party will field its candidates in 29 constituencies.
Elections for the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 and counting of votes will take place on November 14.
