wba Super0welterweight champion Abass Barau has said he would love to fight newly-crowned interim champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis after defeating Uisma Lima in the first round.
Barau elevates his interim title and is subsequently crowned WBA super welterweight champion Terence Crawford entered the ring with canelo alvarez in September, and thinks the fight with Ennis would be the perfect opportunity for him to prove his world championship potential in his first defense.

Barau became interim champion in August when he upset Yoenis Tellez by outpointing the Cuban to win via unanimous decision.
‘Boots’ has since stepped into the void left by Barau and overcame Lima in less than a round to claim the interim belt, previously owned by the German.
It seems as if Ennis is headed towards a blockbuster All-American fight with rival Virgil Ortiz Jr., so if a fight with ‘Boots’ isn’t next for Barao, he also made it clear that unifying the super welterweight division is also at the top of his priority list.
