Amaravati, October 13 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday and invited him to the ‘Super GST-Super Savings’ program in Kurnool district and the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister posted on ‘X’ that he, on behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, congratulates the Prime Minister on his remarkable achievement of 25 years in public service as the Head of the Government.
The Chief Minister said he also appreciated his leadership behind the transformative and people-centric next generation GST reforms.
Chandrababu Naidu posted, “The upcoming ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ event in Kurnool will celebrate the enthusiasm and appreciation of the people for this visionary initiative, and I am privileged to invite him to grace the event with his presence. I have invited the Honorable Prime Minister to chair the CII Partnership Summit 2025 to be held in Visakhapatnam on 14th and 15th November.” Also invited.”
Union ministers Ram Mohan Naidu and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, along with TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu accompanied the Chief Minister during the meeting.
The ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ event to be held in Kurnool district on 16th October aims to highlight the initiatives of the Central and State Governments to promote fiscal prudence and efficiency with the latest next generation GST reforms.
The Chief Minister also invited the Prime Minister to the ‘CII Partnership Summit 2025’ to be held in Visakhapatnam on 14 and 15 November. The summit is expected to bring together industry leaders, investors and policy makers from across the world to explore new avenues of collaboration and investment in Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister will also attend the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Department and Google in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The MoU is for the establishment of Asia’s first Google Data Center in Visakhapatnam, marking an important milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s journey towards digital transformation and technological excellence, an official statement said.
Google will develop a 1 GW hyperscale data center campus in Visakhapatnam, entailing an investment of approximately US$10 billion, which will be the base for the “AI City Vizag”. This will be one of the largest such projects for Google in Asia, with Google deploying its full AI stack to help accelerate AI-driven transformation across India.
According to the official statement, the new AI Hub will combine powerful AI infrastructure, data center capacity, new large-scale energy sources and an expanded fiber-optic network in one place, making Vizag and AP uniquely positioned in India to drive India’s AI transformation.
