Roi Shalev, 30, wrote on social media, “I just want this suffering to end. I’m alive, but everything inside is dead”, and apologized.

He lay under the car for the next seven hours, pretending to be dead until Israeli forces found him.
As a result of the attack, his mother took her own life a week later.
Roi previously said, “In just one week, I lost three of the most important women in the world.”
“In the months that followed, I struggled to cope. Flashbacks and anxiety plagued me and sleep became a distant memory.”

Over the next two years, he has organized events in memory of Miss Adam and Miss Solomon, and renamed his family bakery the ‘Maple Café’ in tribute to their “only love”.
On the second anniversary of his girlfriend’s death, Roi wrote on Instagram: “Two years have passed since the most terrible day of my life and that of the entire country.
“The desire for you keeps on increasing, the pain does not subside with time. It happens always, everywhere, all the time. This year I am full of pain, even more than last year.”
Addressing both her and Hilly, he said: “A huge apology that I couldn’t keep you safe on this terrible day, you know I did everything, I did everything to keep you safe, my dear.
“I preferred to die in pain and you to live.”
Three days after the anniversary, he posted on his Instagram page that he “can’t walk anymore”, and that his pain was “eating me up inside”.
