As Bihar elections are round the corner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that the seat-sharing deal between its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is almost finalised.
News18 quoted sources as saying that the BJP is likely to finalize the seat-sharing arrangements in the next few days, while the first list of candidates is likely to be released by October 13.
The development comes a day after reports said that “all is not well” in the NDA as the parties were not able to reach a consensus on the seat-sharing deal.
According to News18, BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting will be held on October 12 and the decision on seat sharing will be taken.
The list to be released on October 13 will include the names of candidates from BJP, Janata Dal United (JDU), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
