Actually, I think it’s going very high.
Allow me to say this in different words….
Silver’s all-time high was $49.45 an ounce in January 1980 and if you adjust for inflation and project its price to $2025, the price of silver should actually be $190-195 an ounce right now! Very good!
Silver had a nominal all-time high $49.45 per ouncereached inside January 1980 During the Hunt brothers’ attempt to corner the silver market.
Using CPI inflation data, one 1980 dollar is approximately equal to $3.93 in 2025 dollars,
so:
49.45 × 3.93 = $194.34it means The inflation-adjusted all-time high for silver in 2025 dollars is $190-$195 an ounce.
And that’s just adjusting for inflation, it’s not accounting for things like supply shocks.
