Amravati, October 8 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh as part of the GST festival of the state government on 16 October.
Prime Minister, Chief Minister N. With Chandrababu Naidu, he will address a public meeting in Orvakallu.
The Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit on Wednesday, during which he will offer prayers at the Srisailam temple.
Minister Nara Lokesh, BC Janardhana Reddy, Anagani and Kandula Durgesh attended the review meeting at the state secretariat.
Senior officials of various departments including Chief Secretary and Director General of Police participated.
The TDP -led NDA government hopes that the Prime Minister’s visit to Kurnool and Nandal districts will be successful, which will first overtake them in Amravati and Visakhapatnam.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will see Shrisalam Bhramamba Mallikarjuna Swamy. He will then address a public meeting held in Nannur of Orvakallu Mandal in Kurnool district.
The state government passed a resolution in the assembly last month, welcoming the GST-2.0 reforms brought by the Center.
It has also launched a campaign from Dussehra to Diwali in the name of GST Reform Festival. Public meeting in Kurnool district is part of awareness campaign.
The state government is taking steps to make the public meeting very successful.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to take into account the weather situation and make proper arrangements during the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Chief Minister has ordered that arrangements should be made for the people coming to the Prime Minister’s meeting without any inconvenience.
Chandrababu Naidu had earlier decided to discuss the schemes for the development of Shri Bhramamba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Srisailam with the Prime Minister.
In the meeting held on October 5 under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, it was decided to request to allocate 2,000 hectares of forest land from the center for the development of the temple.
