Dr. BR Ambedkar Konsema District Superintendent of Police, Rahul Meena, confirmed that the unit had been granted a license.
He said authorities have recovered six bodies and are in the process of verifying their identities.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu addressed the incident on Twitter, saying he spoke with officials about the cause of the fire, current situation, relief measures and medical assistance.

Naidu directed senior officials to visit the site and participate in relief efforts, and asked that better medical aid be provided to the injured.
