News agency PTI quoted police officials as saying that the driver of the tanker carrying chemicals was burnt alive due to the sudden accident.
Dudu city Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Khandelwal said, “The tanker driver was burnt alive in the incident. Another person was injured.”
The accident caused traffic halt on the busy highway for several hours.
The flames caused by the explosions were visible from several kilometers away and passengers heard loud sounds of explosions.

Pieces of the cylinder were found a few meters away, officials reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Jaipur Collector Dr. Jitendra Soni said that a team of Hindustan Petroleum removed all the cylinders following safety mechanisms and protocols.
“Scrap of 42 cylinders was found around the area. They were all exploded cylinders. A total of 120 cylinders were safe. All of them were removed by the Hindustan Petroleum team and all safety measures and protocols were followed to clean the area,” Soni was quoted as saying by PTI.
The truck carrying the CNG cylinder was reportedly parked outside a hotel as the driver had gone to eat. The tanker hit the truck, causing a fire in the tanker’s cabin, while the cylinders spilled out of the truck.
After some time the cylinders started exploding. According to eyewitnesses quoted by PTI, a team from the regional transport office was stopping and checking vehicles on the highway. To avoid the authorities, the tanker driver suddenly changed his lane and lost control.
However, the District Collector said that investigation into the matter has started and the cause of the collision is being investigated.
Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa reached the spot to take stock of the accident.
