New Delhi, October 7 (IANS) BJP and JD (U) welcomed the findings of IANS-Matris News Communications Opinion Poll on Tuesday, which estimated a commanding lead for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
The survey estimated 49 percent vote share and 150–160 seats for NDA in the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly.
BJP and JD (U) leaders expressed confidence in the results of the survey, saying that the NDA is ready for a decisive victory. In contrast, the Congress rejected the survey, claiming that India would win the block elections.
Talking to IANS, Bihar Minister Ashok Chaudhary said, “We believe that we will win more seats from an estimated-180-185. We will perform better than 2020. Bihar has no leader like Nitish Kumar who is a supporter, and we will definitely benefit from it.”
JD (U) leader Sanjay Jha said, “I have seen the survey, and I think the number will only increase as voting. Elections have been announced in Bihar, and Rahul Gandhi is abroad. He cannot win Bihar with part -time politics.”
Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal said, “It is not clear whether we will cross 200 seats, but one thing becomes clear from the work done by Nitish Kumar and the contribution of PM Modi in the development of Bihar that Bihar will progress under the guarantee of PM Modi.”
JD (U )’s Neeraj Kumar also welcomed the survey and said, “I do not speak politically, but Nitish Kumar’s work and NDA’s efforts speak for themselves in Bihar.
BJP MP Brij Lal said, “The survey is accurate. The NDA will win a huge majority. I have seen Llu Yadav’s Jungle Raj – those days are over. The BJP will form the next government in Bihar.”
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput replied, “We do not accept the survey. We do not believe in any survey. We believe on November 14, India Block will win with a vast majority. The survey will prove wrong.”
In the survey titled “Bihar Assembly Chun Opinion Poll -2025”, the ruling NDA, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD -U and BJP, has been included, indicating the possible consolidation of power between the arguments, migrations and debates on governance, as a pioneer.
According to IANS-Matrize Poll, NDA’s estimated vote share is a significant leap in 2020 elections, where it wins despite the close-stars in popular votes with the opposition.
The BJP is expected to lead the pack within the alliance with 21 percent of the votes and 80-85 seats, which reflects its growing organizational power in the state.
The survey stated that JD-U underlines Nitish Kumar’s permanent appeal between 18 percent of the votes and 60–65 seats, some voter seats. To contribute to the coalition on 2 percent (3-6 seats), Hindustani Awam Morch (Ham) 6 percent (4-6 seats) on Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJP (R)), and 2 percent (1-2 seats) on 2 percent (1-2 seats).
On the opposition front, Mahagath Bandhan is estimated to secure 36 percent of the votes and 70-85 seats, in 2020, a minor dip of 37.2 percent.
The survey said that Tejasvi Yadav, Tejashwi Janata Dal (RJD), remained the powerhouse of the alliance with 21 percent of the votes and 60-65 seats, keeping it in position as a “direct challenger” for the dominance of the NDA, in the survey, stated in the survey.
The Indian National Congress (INC) is underestimated at 8 percent (7-10 seats), while the Communist-Lennist Mukti (ML) of India (ML) L left-folded parties 4 percent (6-9 seats), CPI 1 percent (0-1 seats) at 1 percent (0-1 seats) on CPI (0-1 seats).
Vikasil Inshan Party (VIP), which was part of the NDA in 2020, has moved to India’s block, which has been estimated to be 1 percent (2–4 seats). The All India Majlis-e-Itahadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is expected to have 1 percent votes and 1-3 seats, which is targeting minority voters in the limited areas.
