A funeral service will be held on Tuesday salt Lake City Russell M. For Nelson, the charismatic emotionalist, who oversees an important temple building boom as the Chairman of the Church of Jesus Christ of Litter-Day Saints.

Nelson led the trust until his death by the end of September at the age of 101.

The funeral is expected to mourn thousands at the conference center of faith in Tempal Square. Church spokesman Doug Anderson said about 600 members of Nelson’s family are expected to participate with 20,000 people who quickly cut the tickets, which the church offered online within 20 minutes.

The service will be broadcast globally on the Church website and other online platforms.

What people can expect during the funeral

The funeral of Nelson would be devoid of formal church rituals, said Anderson said. This will meet a puja service with prayer, hymns and talks and focus on Nelson’s life and purpose, he said.

Anderson said both aspects of Nelson’s legacy – as a spiritual leader for four decades and as a heart surgeon who saved life – would be celebrated during service.

Nelson’s body would be mostly wearing white temple clothes, formal clothes worn by adult members. Later on the day, open monument service for saints and non-members will be operated by a late minister. According to Anderson, a public view was held at the conference center on Monday, which included around 18,560 people.

He said that the funerals of the church are usually “marked by the atmosphere of hope and peace”.

“They are generally not cumbersome with inconsistent grief and despair, so often seen in other funerals,” he said. “This is especially true in this case that a life is more than 101 years.”

Nelson’s hymn will be sung to ‘our prayer’

Anderson said that Nelson’s funeral would also include the “Heartfelt Tribus and Comforting Music”, which was performed by the famous Tabernecal songs.

It would include a hymn written by Nelson, titled “Hour Prayer to The”, which was first published in the official publication of the church and performed in general conferences in October 2018 and April 2022. A composer described the song as a special, sacred representation, which was done as a relationship between the relationship between the relationship between the relationship. God And loyal.

Nelson’s family members will likely choose other songs and hymns that will be performed at the funeral.

Family This life and the next is paramount

While the funeral will be public, the buried family will be private. The pioneer will be in the cemetery, where Brigham Young and many other forerunners of faith are buried, Anderson said.

Family plays an important role in faith, not only in this life, but also in later life, Kathleen Flake, former Professor said Morms study on University of virginia,

Flake said that once the body is taken to the tomb site, people who are not families will leave and a male family member – usually the eldest son – will dedicate to the tomb.

In the church, the temple sealing, which connects a man and a woman and their children together for eternity, binds the family as a unit that crosses from this life to the next. A man should be performed by a person in a temple, who has a priest.

“The belief is that (Nelson) will join the lifetime with the former family members,” he said. “You here from the family to the family from the family to the family that is in heaven, and live together in eternity.”

New President should still be announced

The president of a new church is considered a prophet by members – Nelson’s funeral is expected to be nominated shortly after.

His successor, Delin H. Announcing the oxes is largely a formality because the church has a well -defined leadership hierarchy that helps ensure a smooth handover and prevent lobbying in the internal or publicly.

At his first major address since Nelson’s death, Oux on Sunday encouraged members to marry and have children during the twice-year general conference of Vishwas. The 93 -year -old former Utah Supreme Court Justice emphasized the importance of the family, while accepting that not all families look the same.

In a departure from his specific teachings, who often appeals for more reasons than emotion, Ox shared an emotional story about the day when his grandfather told him at the age of 7 that his father died. He went to describe the value of being raised by a single mother and others, who stepped into the roles of parents for her and her brothers and sisters.

Ox also said on Sunday that the belief “will slow down the announcement of new temples” – Nelson’s first major difference from the presidency.
