‘Keep restraint’: CM Mamta’s appeal for Trinmool supporters amid attacks on BJP leaders

Kolkata, 6 October (IANS) allegedly issued an appeal for transportation with his party indirectly, allegedly by Trinumool Congress workers in Jalpiguri district of West Bengal amid an attack on BJP Lok Sabha member and a party MLA.

BJP members, Khagan Murmu and the party’s main whip in the West Bengal Assembly, Shankar Ghosh, was attacked in Bamandanga in Jalpaiguri, while they were on their way to the same district to help people from Hills, Terrai and Dores to help in relief and rescue efforts. Landslides during the last few days.

Murmu was seriously injured after Trinmool Congress workers allegedly hit a stone. Even Ghosh suffered minor injuries.

A few hours later, CM Mamta Banerjee issued a general social media appeal, which was calling to maintain sanctions.

However, in his statement, he neither mentioned the attack on BJP leaders nor made it clear for whom his restraint appeal was.

The Chief Minister’s statement said, “Please be calm, ignore the rumors, and cooperate with the people around you. At this time, no untoward incidents are desirable; by standing by each other, we will collectively face this crisis.”

According to him, many people are facing serious damage in disaster in North Bengal, the need for that time is unity and patience.

The Chief Minister said, “I request everyone, do not lose courage, and maintain restraint and caution. The government and administration are fully standing by the people, and together we will cross this disaster.”

After reaching North Bengal, the Chief Minister said that the state government will not only repair the roads damaged by rain and landslides, but will also arrange for re -construction of damaged houses.
