An official said that New Delhi, October 6 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared an article on Monday, in which an article was shared for adult learners for the transformational impact of understanding of lifetime learning for lifetime (ULALAS) program.
The National Education Policy (NEP) was launched as a major initiative under 2020 in 2022, with special attention to rural communities and women, with educational opportunities for adult learners across India.
Responding to a post on X by Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary, PMO India Handle said: “In this article, Moss Sri @Jayantrld explains how all the societies (Ullas) programs to learn lifetime, started in alignment with NEP 2020 in 2022, offers educational opportunities for adults.”
He said, “She said that rural and women literacy have increased the influence of gaiety program, by 2030, the United Nations SDG has placed India on track to achieve the literacy target of SDG,” the post said.
Last month, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan declared Himachal Pradesh as the fifth fully literate state/center area after Tripura, Mizoram, Goa and Ladakh.
He said that the achievement confirmed the power of collective efforts by the government, society and volunteers.
In a program to mark International Literacy Day, Pradhan reiterated the sight of PM Modi’s education as the foundation of civilization and called for a fresh commitment to the creation of literate, self -sufficient and developed India.
The theme for this year’s celebration was “to promote literacy in the digital age”, which highlights the important role of digital technology in enabling reading, writing, numerical and lifelong learning skills across the country.
Himachal Pradesh has become the fourth state to achieve complete functional literacy to join Tripura, Mizoram and Goa in this important milestone. On June 24, 2024, Ladakh was declared the first center area as fully literate.
