The induction was done at a commission ceremony headed by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendaharkar, the Eastern Naval Command Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief.

Recently, many state -of -the -art warships have joined the Indian Navy and this induction is a part of large fleet and speed for the creation of India’s maritime power.

Androth is built by Kolkata -based Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE). It has more than 80% of indigenously developed materials in the country.
The Ministry of Defense, on Sunday, October 5, announced the commission commission, said, “Androth’s commission will significantly increase the ASW capabilities of the Navy, especially in combating dangers in Literal Waters.”

“This reflects the continuous emphasis on the indigenization, innovation and capacity increase of the Navy, while India’s important role in strengthening the maritime security architecture of India has also been highlighted,” the statement said.
It states that the ship has underlined the Indian Navy’s commitment to increase indigenous capacity through innovative technologies and home developed solutions.
Androth joined the recent induction of Arnala, Nistar, Udayagiri and Nilgiri in the Indian Navy, which became part of military development in marine operations.
Arnala is India’s first submarine Anti-Penrin Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), which was commissioned in the Indian Navy in Visakhapatnam on 18 June.
