Pakistani Officials reached a peace agreement with a civil rights alliance on Saturday, which ended the days of violent protests, killing at least 10 people and pacified Pakistan-prashed Kashmir.
Under the deal, the regional government headed by Prime Minister Chaudhary Anwarul Haq agreed to subsidize wheat and electricity, besides accepting more than three dozen other demands related to reducing the number of minister and improving health, education and other public services.
Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary praised the success of the talks in a post on X. He wrote in the agreement that after two days of conversation in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-prashed Kashmir, the protesters dispersed.
Chaudhary also said that the regional government has accepted all the demands of the protesters.

He said, “I am grateful to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the whole of Pakistan for understanding my problems and agreeing to solve them.”
Welcoming the successful conclusion of the talks, Sharif said that public welfare and peace remain in the top priorities of his government.
