The Karnataka police said on Saturday that the Israeli consulate in Bangalore, 4 October (IANS) Bangalore recently received a bomb threat, which had become a deception, and the matter was under investigation, the Karnataka police said on Saturday.
Consulate officials on September 22 filed a police complaint regarding the incident.
According to the FIR, at around 3.10 pm on September 19, a bomb threat was sent to Email Cho_ramaswamy@hotmail.com from Israel Consulate Office’s Legal Email ID Consular 2@bangalore.mfa.gov.il, which is identified as Thugraq Cho Ramaswami.
Read in email: “Israel Consulate Six RDX IEDs installed in Bangalore, will explode after Islamic prayers on Friday.”
However, the consulate said that the danger email came under their notice, which was only 9 am on September 22.
The Cuban Park Police registered an FIR under Section 66 (C) of the Information Technology Act and Section 351 (4) (whoever commits criminal intimidation offense by anonymous communication) and 353 (1) (b) (statement is committed to public mischief with the intention of attaching another person, or for any class or any class, for any class or any class.
Police said a search operation was conducted immediately, which revealed that the threat of email bomb was a deception. He further stated that the FIR has been registered against an unknown person, and investigation is on to track the IP address and identify the person sending an email.
On 6 September, the airport police registered a case against an unknown person to send a hoc email to the manager of the Kemp Gowda International Airport, threatening to fly the airport using instantaneous explosive equipment.
Based on the complaint of Terminal 2 of Bangalore International Airport Limited (Bial), Ruban Raj, the police registered an FIR against the email user identified as thozhar_leelavathy@outlook.com, he puts it to the public life of BNS for further investigation).
