Marineland Canadian asks the government for emergency cash to feed whales – or euthanasia adjacent

Marineland Park Close Niagara Falls The Canadian government on Friday asked for emergency funding to feed and take care of its whale, saying that euthanasia is otherwise adjacent.

Fisheries Minister Joan Thompson refused to export 30 Belugus of Marinland earlier this week to export Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, an aquarium. ChinaThompson said that the decision is then in line with a law of 2019, which makes it illegal to use whale and dolphins in the entertainment show.

Tourist attraction states that Chimelong was the only option for Belugas as no sanctuary was a sanctuary that could not be present and there is no other sea park with enough rooms.

Marineland, in a letter to the government, says that it is completely indebted and is running out of money quickly, and Thompson asked if she can help find another place to send a whale.

The park says the only option is to move the whale or they will be forced to euthanasia.

According to a database based on internal records and official statements by Canadian Press News Agency, twenty whales – a killer whale and 19 Beluga – have died in the park since 2019.

Thompson’s office did not immediately respond to the remarks request.

Marineland announced that it was for sale in early 2023 and closed to the public in late summer. It did not open this year as it looks to sell the park and Horsasho Falls has a huge self. No sales have been announced yet.

The law banning the whale imprisonment did not apply to the current population of the captive whale in Marinland, but the park had to follow another part of the law that refuses breeding.
