Prepare a report on natural disaster loss as soon as possible, Himachal asks CM officials

Shimla, October 3 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Friday directed the Revenue Department to prepare a detailed report on the loss caused across the state due to natural disaster as soon as possible, so that it can be sent to the central government without any delay.

In a meeting with all the administrative secretaries here, he said that like 2023, this year’s monsoon has also suffered heavy losses of life and property in the state.

However, the government is performing its best with limited resources to provide relief to every affected family and provide relief.

He instructed the secretaries to set a clear targets and complete the pending tasks to expand the benefits of development projects.

CM Sukhu said that the government is working to ensure good governance for the betterment of the people of the state.

He said that the Chief Secretary would regularly review the progress of departmental projects. The Chief Minister asked all the secretaries to work with dedication to implement schemes and schemes on land to make Himachal Pradesh a self -sufficient state.

He directed that the expansion of Kangra Airport should be intensified with other works related to tourism projects.

The Chief Minister said that in addition to encouraging investment in these areas, the government is giving priority to health, education, rural economy, tourism, energy, food processing and data storage sectors.

Major reforms in the health sector are being introduced so that people can get quality treatment near their homes.

The government is also strengthening facilities in all seven medical colleges, which provides modern equipment and advanced machines on the lines of AIIMS Delhi.

He also insisted on promoting electric vehicles and creating the infrastructure required for them. About 90 percent of the state’s population lives in villages, and therefore, the government is working to strengthen the rural economy to benefit the rural population.
