Marathi defense: Uddhav Thackeray signs on strong relations with MNS in BMC poll

Mumbai, October 2 (IANS) Shiv Sena Udhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday indicated for a strong coalition with a strong alliance between his party and Raj Thakere -led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), a strong coalition with a strong coalition, the BJP -led government tried to separate Mumbai.

He said that his party will not allow Hindi to implement Hindi in Maharashtra, where Marathi has got classical language status.

Thackeray accused the BJP and the central government of neglecting Maharashtra in favor of the states like Bihar.

“Maharashtra is in crisis, but elections are in Bihar – so you are showering money there, ignoring women 10,000 and ignoring us. This is a betrayal.”

He referred to PM Modi’s recent Bihar announcements as proof of bias. He demanded that the state government immediately provide financial assistance of Rs 50,000 per hectare to give a tough competition to farmers due to heavy rains and floods.

He warned that the party would start a protest in Marathwada, which has been adversely affected when the government failed to assist.

Thackeray slammed the state government, saying that he is inactive and focuses on branding himself through advertisements only. He emphasized that the government lacks a clear vision and is not enough to help farmers or address after natural disasters.

A swipe in the BJP, Thackeray strongly defended his version of Hindutva, saying that “our Hindutva is about the sons of Maharashtra, not only the bells of Maharashtra or the utensils during the Kovid. Balasaheb Thakere (Shiv Sena founder) heritage is not with us, which divides the family.”

Thackeray criticized the BJP, saying that the party has spread mud everywhere to promote the symbol of its lotus and has wrongly imprisoned many people. He questioned the party’s functions, asked how those who support Pakistan can be considered patriots.

The Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was said to be a “Gaddar” (traitor), Thackeray made fun of the claims of Balasaheb Thackeray to the claims of rival Shiv Sena. “They stole our symbol and party, but the heart of the real Shiv Sena beats here.” She asked for the division of 2022, saying that the government’s plans mirror historical betrayal against them.

Thackeray mentioned Sonam Wangchuk, who was labeled a traitor to attend a conference in Pakistan, and questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pakistan was not seen as a traitor to celebrate Nawaz Sharif’s birthday. He also spoke on national issues, calling “anti-national” elements, which prefer cricket matches on security (referring to India-Pakistan Asia Cup comments).
