Morena, 2 October (IANS) in a case that has immersed the Chambal-Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh in grief and displeasure, the police have arrested Bharat Sikarwar and his wife for the alleged murder of their 17-year-old daughter, Divya Sikarwar, a class 12 student.
With the arrest of her parents, the police have registered a case against 23 others, naming 11 persons, while the remaining suspects are unknown.
On suspicion of “honor killing”, the incident has ruled out a terrible debate on the conservative and violent length of the caste, in which families go to preserve it.
Police officials said Divya was shot dead inside her house on the night of 23 September. His disintegrated body was recovered from the Kunwari River five days later, wrapped in plastic and collided with a stone – perhaps, perhaps, to immerse both evidence and shame, police officials said.
Speaking to IANS, Assistant Superintendent of Police Surendra Pal Singh Dabar confirmed his parents’ arrest. “We have filed an FIR in the case and arrested Divya’s father and her mother after the Autopsy report. At least ten other people have been made a partner in the case who helped her body deal with her body without informing the police. A licensed rebellion used in the weapon -murder -” Dabar said.
The crime took place in Shivnagar area under Civil Lines Police Station, Morena. Investigators say that Bharat, also known as Bantu, designed the murder with chilling calculations.
He allegedly gave time to the Act to match the evening with Aarti, when loudspeakers instigated the devotional mantra outside their house. As soon as Divya stepped on the balcony to see the ritual, her father fired a bullet. The gun shot surrounded by the religious music, no one got noticed – leaving her younger sister, who looked scary and ran away shouting.
Emerging with a scarf tied around the head of India, Bharat Sikarwar claimed that she was unconscious. A neighbor ran away with his car, and Bharat kept Divya inside, loudly to take her to the hospital. But in the middle, he turned the route towards a village, stating that the driver died.
Given doubt, India transferred Divya’s body to another vehicle and promised to cremate a water “water stain”. Later, he claimed that Divya had shot herself. But forensic experts denied it, citing a point-tanned gun tablet on the head.
The family’s story was shifted from electrocution to suicide, deepening the mystery and doubt. The family never declared Divya missing.
The post -mortem was held at Gwalior Medical College due to the advanced status of decomposition.
Police suspect that Divya’s relationship with a socially disadvantaged caste may have provoked a fatal attack.
Police officials said that the family managed the domestic finance and a pistol registered under his uncle’s name was kept in his cupboard, police officials said.
This tragedy is not isolated. In June, a grandfather of Morena allegedly shot his granddaughter on an inter-caste relationship. In January, a 20 -year -old woman, Tanu Gurjar was killed by her father and cousin in Gwalior.
