Complete preparation for visit to Haryana on 3 October

Chandigarh, October 1 (IANS) Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah was completed on 3 October for the visit to the state, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Wednesday.

HM Shah will participate in programs in Kurukshetra and Rohtak during his day’s visit. CM Saini said that the government has prepared a plan to strengthen the cooperative societies constituted for the welfare of farmers.

“Cooperative societies lost the trust of farmers during the Congress rule, but the present state government will work to restore this trust. The process of enrollment to the new members will start soon, and to ensure that farmers will get timely benefits, it will also be online facility.”

Answering a question about the decision of the Congress leadership to appoint former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the Leader of the Opposition, the Chief Minister congratulated both Hooda and Rahul Gandhi, but questioned the delay, asking whether the decision was to appoint Hooda only, why it took so much time?

Taking a jib in the Congress, CM Saini said that his policies are flawed and they have no real concern for public welfare.

In response to another question, he said that the Congress has always been a party of groups and internal changes. He said on the contrary with the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the Prime Minister has always empowered the poor, while the Congress and India Block have only focused on strengthening themselves.

Meanwhile, CM Saini released Rs 404.79 crore to Panchayati Raj Institutions as the second installment of the State Finance Commission grant, which led to a significant increase for rural development.

The amount will be transferred directly to the accounts of 5,719 gram panchayats, 144 panchayat samitis, and three district councils, providing new motivations for development work and will strengthen public facilities locally.
