Bihar businessman murdered: Police investigation shows that there were criminal cases against Suresh Yadav

In the murder of Kolkata, Bihar businessman Suresh Yadav, October 1 (IANS) police investigation revealed that he had his own flat in Howrah and regularly visited Bengal during Durga Puja. It was also learned that a criminal case was filed against him in the past and there are many crimes against him.

Officials are investigating whether he was murdered on Tuesday night due to his criminal anticadents.

According to the police, Suresh Yadav, although a resident of Bihar, had some relatives in Howrah, neighboring Kolkata. He had been visiting the region for a long time and also bought a flat about ten years ago.

He used to visit Bengal every year for Durga Puja, and even in other times when necessary and stayed there for a few days.

His house is in Gopalganj area of ​​Bihar and after his death, the police is questioning his wife and relatives there.

Howrah Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Tripathi said on Wednesday that there are several complaints against Suresh Yadav in Bihar and had sentenced them to seven years in jail.

The police officer said, “He had enmity with the criminal gangs of Bihar. Earlier there was an attempt to kill him once. It is being investigated whether he had any disagreement with him recently for commercial reasons.”

On the night of Ashtami, Suresh Yadav (50) was shot dead by a group of attackers on a public road. The incident took place on Tuesday night at Banbihari Basu Lane in Howrah district. During the Durga Puja Festival, such an incident in a crowded area spread nervousness in the area.

Local people said that Suresh Yadav was passing through the evening market area of ​​Banbhari Basu Lane at around 9:30 pm, a group of youth suddenly came on a bike and fired several rounds on it and ran away from the area.

Suresh Yadav fell on the spot. On receiving information about the attack, Howrah Police reached the spot. Suresh, who was then in critical condition, was rushed to Howrah District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on duty.

CCTV footage of the spot has been collected and local people are also being questioned regarding the murder.
