Araria’s last voter list, eligible voters worth 19.66 lakhs in the district

Patna, October 1 (IANS) The final election role for Araria district under the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) 2025 was officially released in a meeting under the chairmanship of District Election Officer-cum-district magistrate Anil Kumar in permanent auditorium, collectorate, Araria.

The program was attended by presidents, secretaries and representatives of all recognized political parties.

According to the final list, a total of 19,66,807 eligible voters are in Araria, including 10,30,292 male, 9,26,436 females and 89 others.

This list further states that 31,994 voters are in the age group of 18-19 years, 19,08,959 voters are in the age group of 20 to 79 years, and 25,854 voters are in the age group of 80-149 years.

The final publication was simultaneously done in all six assembly constituencies of Araria district, including Narpatganj, Raniganj (SC), Forbesganj, Araria, Jokihat and Sikki.

The DEO informed political representatives that the draft roll was published on August 1, 2025. Subsequently, the duration of claims and objections was from 1 August to 1 September, 2025.

Special camps were organized to ensure maximum participation and to achieve the purpose of ‘No Voter Left Behind’ in block-cum-circle offices and city council/Nagar Panchayat offices.

The political parties present in the meeting were handed over the final election role for free.

Representatives of the parties expressed satisfaction, commendable to ensure an error-free, transparent and inclusive procedure to the Election Commission of India and the district administration.

The meeting also clarified the legal support available for voters. If a voter is dissatisfied with the decision of the Election Registration Officer (ERO), they can appeal to the District Magistrate under Section 24 (A) of the Representation of the People’s Act, 1950.

If a voter is dissatisfied with the DM’s order, then according to Rule 27 of the election rules, the second appeal can be filed before the Chief Election Officer Bihar, 1960.
