New Delhi, 1 October (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the countrymen and prayed for their good and prosperity.
The ninth day of Navratri is celebrated as Mahanavami, which is dedicated to Goddess Siddhidati.
Taking X, the Prime Minister said, “On the occasion of Mahanavami, he wishes all of you!
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took on social media and raised his greetings.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “Hearty congratulations to all devotees, worshipers and residents of the state on the auspicious occasion of ‘Mahanavami’!”
He said, “Everyone can achieve a life full of glory, prosperity and good health through the grace of mother Siddhidati, the ninth form of Dayalu Maa Durga, and her grace can ever remain on the whole conscious and lifeless world,” he said.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also greeted her on the occasion.
“Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all of you on the holy festival of the ninth day of Navratri, dedicated to the worship of Maa Siddhidati, the presiding deity of eight great siddhis (spiritual powers). Mother Gods can give you full power, peace, and progress,” she said in a post.
Siddhidati means ‘the one who provides supernatural powers’. ‘Siddhi’ refers to supernatural ability or meditative skills, while ‘Dhatri’ refers to the donor or Best.
He is known as Navdurg, on the ninth day of Navratri, and fulfills all divine aspirations.
Shiva is also known as Ardhanishvara because his body represents Siddhidati on one side. According to the Vedic scriptures, he achieved all the Siddhas by worshiping this goddess.
